Box Pond in Bellingham offers a convenient, rural setting at the center of the Boston-Providence-Worcester-and Framingham metropolitan areas. It is five minutes from Route 495 and approximately ten minutes to the Forge Park commuter rail. This is a small lake community off of the town center where the residents enjoy watching the wildlife; as well as the recreation of fishing (up to 10hp motors), ice skating, canoeing and/or kayaking. Each year the association hosts a fishing tournament with 40-50 boats participating. This pond is about one mile in length and less than a quarter mile wide. There is some commercial/industrial properties nearby, however, most of the residence are situated so that they are not affected by any noise or traffic. The fishing is tremendous! If you are looking for small town living within a quiet lake community, this could be the place for you!
